I at one time had 16,000 STS hulls on hand. I think I'm down to 5000 now. I will be getting more at one point.
You sound like me. I start to panic when the supply gets low although I really only keep about 2000 in the rotation. All hull makes combined I probably have 15,000 and I sold quite a few this past winter.
I always start to get a little antsy when my supply drops below 6000 or so hulls no matter how many loaded rounds I have on stacked up. Must be my OCD ;o)

When I left North Dakota I brought somewhere around 25,000 once fired hulls with me. Mostly Top Guns and Estates. The club there sold 3000 for $10.
Now I don't hardly shoot 12 gauge. I keep 2000 to 3000 .410 empties cycling.

Have over 16,000 old style one piece compression hulls in both red and grey color. Would like to sell for $.05/pc, pickup only Detroit Metro area.
35,000 and all of them are in the original boxes waiting to be emptied ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
About that many, not counting 3000 or so I have loaded up.
In 12 gauge I estimate about 6000 hulls of which about half are once fired and the other half is in reloading production or rotation. These are mostly Winchester AA HS 70% as well as Remington 30% (Nitro and STS and Gun Club).

12,000 old style AA's 12 ga, 5000 each 20, 28 and 410's. Should last me the rest of my life. LOL Jackie B.
Only keep Remington hulls, black, green and STS, have about 4000. The Top Guns and Estates are bought when I find them on sale for less than $5 but are left in the trash once they're shot. Gave away a couple of thousand AA's as they just didn't want to work in my MEC 9000

I have 7500 STS and Nitro's and about 1500 AA's once fired. I'm worried I'm running low. Also have 18 flats of new I'm saving for a special occasion. Just not sure what that might be yet! Shot Las Vegas last Fall and they had flats of STS's. After talking for awhile I got 3 flats of 2 3/4 dram 1oz 8's for $225.00. When I got home the Boss Lady asked me if I had hauled anything home from Vegas. Of course I said how would anyone be stupid enough to haul goodies 460 miles from NV to CA. They are still in the garage hidden from sight! I think I might shoot some this summer. My Doctor keeps asking me if I have all my paperwork in order. Not sure what he means by that. She goes to most all the shoots with me, but when I ask her to go through the garbage bins for Rems and AA's, all of our friends move about 50 feet away from me. Not sure why they do that, I shower everyday.

At one time I had 17,000 +/- old Winchester AA. I finally got tired of storing and sold a bunch.
Now I keep 2,500 +/- on hand of once fired STS, 10,000 primers and wads, 6 lbs Redot, and 1,000 lbs of shot.
That's plenty for me and my wife.

A 55 gallon barrel full.....been sitting in my gun room for at least 20 years since I quit reloading. Burned about 10K one piece AA's years ago 'cause nobody wanted 'em....
