Beautiful "birdy" Elhew Snakefoot 8 month old English Pointer for sale. $500.00 OBO
Sire is one of only three living sons of National Champion Elhew Snakefoot. Frozen semen breeding to a Fibber McGee/Silverwood bitch with several shooting dog champions on pedigree.
Bitch is a very hard to comeby daughter of Champion Elhew Texas Snakeeye who is a littermate to Champion Elhew Sunflower.
Pup is located in Pinon Hills, California.

Beautiful dog! Wish I were still living in the country and it would probably be also nice if there were any birds these days in Virginia. There are quite a few in my memory and that's not very good either.

I don't know anything about English Pointers but the pedigree sounds impressive. Why so inexpensive for a started dog with such a strong pedigree?
He is a great looking pup.
Does sound inexpensive, I would expect to pay that for a new puppy.

I understand no formal training at 8 mos, but has he been put down in front of a horse. If so how did he run?
Force Break, I bought the pup to foot hunt behind. No work with a horse to date.

If I were 10 years younger he would have been with me a week ago. Good luck in finding him a great home.

Boy, that bee sting tail really get me going. I'm trying to get one of my friends to buy him just so I can help train him and watch him hunt.
I wish somebody would :) I can't imagine him with my English Setter, I'd be skin and bones for sure.
What a great looking Pointer!! Most pro trainers prefer taking on pointing/retriving dogs from 1 year and up from what I've read. Myself, I'd rather have had him at 7 weeks old and train him home manners and retriving as a pup. I did that with my FB and she's a great little bird finder and retrives to my hand like a pro! Has delivered birds to hand since she was 6 months old and her first time hunting wild quail!
Someone's going to get a great Pointer when he chooses this guy!!

When Bob Wehle was alive an Elhew Pointer pup cost $2000 at 8 weeks old.

I sent out an e-mail to a lot of bird hunters I know. This guy deserves a good home with someone who will hunt him often. Wish I could take him.
GREAT BREED and great looking. UNREGISTERED? If registerd, with which kennel club ? THANKS for the info WEIGHS approximately how much? THANKS AGAIN...BUD How much more to check hips and eyes if done there before p/u?
Not currently registered but if I keep him he will be registerd in the American Field Dog Registry. I have not weighed him lately but I'd say his approximately 40-45 lbs.
