No problem, I figured it would be easier to sell one of the barrels separately because most people only want either the top or unsingle and not both. Let me know.

Thanks!

Hi Buddy,

From the second photo, is there a crack on the receiver (close to the front of the receiver where fits the forearm wood)?

Regards,

rcclee What you are seeing is where the fore end metal comes togeather with the receiver. It does look like a crack, but if you took the bbl off the gun you would see there is no crack. Still a beautiful gun with no crack.

Thanks Buddy

"CRACK" is not a crack. It is just as stated. It is the vertical seam where forend iron and receiver meet. Looks jagged in photo because of uneven engraved surface. Marc

It's a beautiful gun even with a crack in the receiver. Can that be fixed? I don't see how a gun would even develop a crack there. I wouldn't presume to tell someone how to sell something, but I suggest that you acknowledge the crack and deal with it or this gun will still be around for the second flood (or is it a fire this time?)

The crack issue would be easy to solve; post a picture with the gun broke open.

I can understand why people would think it was a crack at first blush. What I can't understand is why people STILL think its a crack, after it was explained MULTIPLE times.

People, its NOT a crack. Its the junction where the receiver meets the forend iron. In fact, if you look closely, you can see the semi-circle where the forend iron meets the knuckle.

On top of that, the steel (4140) in the area where the junction is is about 1/4" thick. Good luck cracking that.

If anyone cares to lay a wager down, I've got $1k on "not a crack".

Skeetman: Are we looking at the same thing. The rest of us see a 3/4" line down the receiver, about 3/4" back from the forend wood, and it's nowhere near any junction. It's just there, staring you in the face in the second picture. I don't know what you're looking at or describing.

I saw this gun at the San Antonio gun club the other day. As has been explained many times before, the line is where the forend iron meets the receiver. It IS NOT A CRACK!
