PRICES PRICES PRICES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Without prices your thread your website(without prices) are all just useless. Neat product cool to look at in theory, BUT how much?
Jerry Lewis
Went to the site, prices are listed.
The one shown above is $45.00
Nice looking, but too expensive for me.
Allen
I generally like new and trick technology. This however (at the price point) reminds me of a solution looking for a problem.
I just got the whole page loaded and see prices my bad.
Jerry lewis
What makes it a solution looking for a problem? As we see it, it's a product made to last forever. Are there other shell holders on the market? Absolutely. Are they made to last? Probably not. Our product is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with stainless steel rivets. Other than throwing it up and shooting it, it should last forever. It is anodized for protection from the elements as well as giving it fresh look. They are perfect for reloaders as they can load the shell holders right from the press. I personally use different colors for my singles and caps. As for doubles I use one of each color for first and second shot.
Still looking for a problem? No, just selling another option for shooters. One thing about our product that is different from most products on the market, it is 100% made in the U.S.A! We stand behind our product and think once you try it, so will you.
Respectfully, Advanced Sporting Technologies, Inc.
I appreciate the quality and being made in the good old USA. CNC machined is cool, and repeats with precision. I piss away money with the best of them, and it just hit me that the price per 25 shells was more than the market might bear? This is from my perspective which might not be what the rest of the world thinks.
No disrespect intended at all. I am sure these are fabulous, and hope they sell like hotcakes for you.
I do appreciate any and all comments. This is a forum and it is also the U.S.A and we do have some freedoms left ( for how long no one knows ) and free speech is one. I took no disrespect towards your comment and would love to squad up with anyone on here. Maybe one day we will and you can see the shell holder in person.
To breaking them all, Chris Advanced Sporting Technologies, Inc.
$45 to hold 25 shells------WOW! I reload about 500 at a time. A holder for each set of 25 would be, what----a lot of loot.
Please check your PM.
Thanks, Pat
Whats your return policy?
My 2 cents, if it's even worth that. I can't see going to shoot practice, which is generally 12 box's, and loading these 3 times or buying 3 sets of them. Same for an ATA shoot. I love gadgets and these are cool looking, just can't see how they could be practical. Not to mention no hull bag for the empties. Sorry. Harv Shell
Well, just my 2C's worth. With the price of gas going to such High levels,Which is worse,or better, above product or putting in gas to go to event.Your hobby is what you make it.I've raced R/C vehicles and seen 1 battery cost over a hundred dollars,it took 3 to run two time trials and one main event, each lasting only 4 minutes.Makes this procuct look cheap doesn't it.I've fished Bass tournament against guys with $200 reels,$200 dollar poles, and they had more rigs than I by a long shot.Again, depends on what your sport or Hobby is worth to you.I never knock a product because of price.I just determine what level I'm at,and does it or would it be beneficial to me at that level. At this time,I shoot mostly weekends locally, but if I were to go to any of the Grands, etc. and travel with the big dogs, maybe this product would be for me.Right now, with my cheap little Brownings, not yet. But,maybe when I graduate to those $10,000 guns, they might be the ticket.Just saying, depends what your budget is,and what fits your style.Right now,I use a different setup,I'll just say plastic boxees, but this product could be a step up when the time comes.
DougH.
We appreciate the input everyone. We are currently working on a storage/speed loading box for the shell holders. This way you don't have to load each shell holder one shell at a time. You will be able to slide the shell holder over and load it in seconds. It should be ready VERY soon.
Advanced Sporting Technologies, Inc.
This will work great shooting games when shooting 3" or 3 1/2" shells. Now I have no need to beg Shamrock Leathers to make a 3 1/2" box holder.
Looks pretty neat to me!
When shooting practice, can take shells loose in a bucket and load them into the carrier lickety split between rounds.

Wow talk about getting thrown under the bus. These people are trying to make a product that works but yet different. Seems everyone just wants to sit back and bitch and complain how it won't work. Geez give them a break. If you don't like it don't buy it.
Corey
Believe it or not most great ideas were greeted with negative comments when first brought out.
Years ago I was working for Traffic Engineering in Rochester, NY. We had a demo on a great new product by 3M called Optacon. It was a unit that was placed on traffic signals and responded to a strobe light that was mounted on the emergency vehical. It gave the vehical a green light in advance to clear the intersection. 3M had spent millions on the development of the product.
At the demo one of our guys asked how lighting affected the unit, the rep said he was not sure and called the company. The company had never checked to see what lighting would do, you guessed it when a lighting flash hit all the signals went green all over the affected area and had to be reset by hand. They had to change the pulse rate on the strobe to get the product to work.
All comments bad or good help to develop a product.
Hey Everyone,
We lowered the price for our 1/2 kit from $125.00 to $100.00. All previous purchases of the 1/2 kit will be reembursed the difference. Thanks for Shopping.

Clever. Much more to say, but left for others

I've always wondered why some tupperware type company didn't make a shell box for trapshooters. Something with a slide-on lid. Something that didn't cost more than three bucks a box. I go through the cardboard boxes pertty regularly and a plastic type box would be a good change. Bill B
Plastic is definitely an inexpensive alternative, but the major issue is it's fragile makeup. That is the reason we went with aluminum. It's lightweight, can be anodized any color and is easily machined as compared to steel. You won't have to worry about dropping these when it's cold out.
Advanced Sporting Tecgnologies, Inc
If you are going to the Carroll county registered shoot this weekend, we will have one of our kits on display. Just look for Dominic B.
Today we will be at the Peconic River Sportsmans Club in Calverton, NY. come check us out and shoot at a fantastic club. See you there.

Just received two of the 2-shell holders. Nice quality, these will last. IMHO, they're definitely worth the $15 price.
Pat
Try it YOU might like it! Marv If it does not fit your program ignore it.
damn it if I could afford to buy shell holders like that, I'd be shooting new shells and letting them hit the ground
Thanks Pat. Let us know how they work for you.

We have received pm's and posts regarding the cost and having to buy 12 of these for all the days shooting. Could you buy 12? Sure but why? We load our shell holders in between events. I have 2 sets and load them when they are empty. It takes 5 min. We all know there is plenty time in between events to load so buying more than 4 shell holders is needless unless you really want to. I said it before, we are designing a speed loader which will make loading very simple. This is Especially handy for reloaders who can load a few hundred shells and carry them in a covered carry case easily identifying your 16, dubs and caps reloads.

We want to congratulate one of our shooters, Collin George for shooting his first 100 straight. Collin has only been shooting for a little over a year and is picking it up very nicely.
Well coming from a guy who makes his living owning and operating a CNC Tool & Die shop here in the Midwest, I can assure you guys who wish to determine the price of another mans work he is not making a killing on these at $45 bucks each. I know my Anodizing guy has a $75 minimum charge which gets you so many sq inch of anodizing done, then it per piece after that. You have the aluminum costing probably between $2.80 and $3.60 per lb. more that likely shipping to and from the ano guy, detail package and prep to go to ano, hopefully you can see how the cost of manufacturing adds up. At $60 per hour which would be a low labor number for a well equipped CNC shop with late model equipment and software, thats a buck per minute for every minute spent on it! This is not China and that shit holes drying up, the low labor rates and substandard work have come back to bite them. Many US customer who flock to the far east to seek our huge savings are now coming back to guys like me, you get a die or mold built 6,000 miles away or however far it is, and there is a problem what do you do ship it back and wait how long???? Kinda see the evil in it now! Point being don't price another mans work, don't price another mans gun unless asked! Just pass on don't dog him for his deal! Just my $.02 worth and probably thats too much.................
THanks Chip. That pretty much somes it up, well that plus assembly and laser engraving adds up.

I bought one of these last week and when it arrived I was very impressed. When I buy something I want value and this product delivered. I like to load up a bucket or two of a load and stacking them in boxes is a PITA for shooting practice. This makes it so easy to load a box right out of the bucket.
Thanks Chris.
Glad you like it. If you want more, just call and we will adjust the new cost to include your previous purchase. I find they work great with doubles.

I have every intention of buying one or two of these just to try them out once the leather shell box holder that I have used for over 20 years wears out ... I don't reload so taking shells from the box in the leather container seems to work pretty good so far and is not close to being worn out ... You just never know, you know ..? WPT ... (YAC) ...
Pattern Control Made these in a molded plastic years ago and they have a locking bar across the top that keeps the shells from falling out in transport and storage before shooting. Really get to be a pain in the a$$ in a very short amount of time. It had a belt clip that stayed on your belt and the holder just slid in a slot for fast and easy on and off.
I gave mine to a buddy that could not count to five that is five shots per station. When the row is gone MOVE. LOL

We will have a shooter at the Pennsylvania State Shoot thus Friday. Look out for him using the shell holding system. His name is Brad, go say hi.
Advanced Sporting Technologies, Inc.
We had a great showing at the Connecticut state shoot. We took home short yardage handicap champ 18-21yd.
We will also will have a shooter and kit for display and test if you'd like at the Virginia state shoot. He will be there the whole week. When he gives me his contact info I will post it.
Advanced Sporting Technologies, Inc.
Well, it's cute, but I just can't see it on my belt. The Vermonters I shoot with would have lots of comments...
I, too, can't see why someone hasn't come up with a plastic box to replace the current cardboard ones. Something that will fit in the box holder that I do carry on my belt. Yes, plastic boxes are available for 12 Ga. but they are huge and meant for storage, not use. Guess I'll have to just continue to use duct tape. Haven't bought a factory shell in years.
