Hi, I have a Remington Model 31-TC, made in 1948. I have read that the rib was forged in one piece, with the barrel. It looks to me like the under lugs are also one piece with the barrel. Does anyone here know it this is true, or not? TIA, Jim Legg
The rib on the Remington 31TC is milled integral with the barrel. The under lugs on field guns appear to be attached separately with silver solder or something similar but the target gun barrels may be milled.
Some Remington "32"s also have milled ribs.
