Perazzi TM-1 for sale. 99%+ condition. As original and unmarked as you could hope to find. This gun belonged to a collector that did not shoot trap. Health concerns and expenses forced the sale of much of his collection. He stated he bought the gun new in 1978 and it has been fired less than 25 shots. Gun has never been to the trap range. Includes Factory case, papers, and stock tool. Please, no trades. If interested please contact me by emal: marcbunk@gmail.com
PRICE $2975
Model: TM 1, Barrel length: 32", Bore: .728, Choke: .040 (full), Stock: MC, LOP 14.5", DAC 1.25", neutral cast,
I APOLOGIZE FOR POSTING SO MANY PICTURES. THE REQUESTS FOR EMAILING OF PICTURES HAS BEEN OVERWHELMING. ADDED PICTURES POSTED HERE FOR ALL INTERESTED PARTIES TO VIEW. THANKS, MARC
Pattern is the factory test done at 35M (approx 38.5yds)with 1 1/8oz #7 1/2 shot. Note the even pellet distribution. This is amomg the best I have ever seen.
ttt please
That's a beauty. If it was 34" I'd have it.
Ed Yanchok
Incedible Perazzi you have. I know it is a 32" and that hurts a lot of guns but this is no average gun here. It will sell
Does It have a tappered rib?
It does not have the tapered rib. It is an Ithaca Import. From what I remember reading here on TS, You have to get partway into the Winchester Imports before tapered ribs were offered. Thanks, Marc
I sold one with the complete package, as your's, and of the same age and quality last year. It was a 34 inch. I sold it to my best friend for $2500. Really too cheap. Your's should easily bring your asking price without barginning. One of the all time best trap guns ever made. Jimmy Borum
Jimmy, My feelings exactly. The TM 1 for me swings and points better than anything I have tried. And when I was younger and more affluent I tried them all. I have another TM 1 I have been shooting since 1972. It has in excess of 250,000 shots fired thru it without any outside service necessary. All I have had to do other than routine clean and lube is replace one hammer spring, and that took less than five minutes of minimal effort. IMHO Perazzi makes some of the best guns available.
I keep thinking I should keep this gun, but then I have another 250,000 rounds to look forward to when my old refurbished TM 1 returns. Someday I will probably regret parting with this gun. Hav'nt we all been there and done that?
Thanks, Marc
Marc. Your last paragraph says it all. Shoot till ya drop.
I have an old TM-4 which is similar to the TM-1 the difference is the receiver has a rib design on it. Shoots fantasic for me, straight and true. Just refinished the wood, looking to have the receiver nickeled and the barrel reblued. Any recommendations as to who to trust with this project? In Central PA..
Thanks, Tim Barnes
Tim, use Doug Braker in MN, Doug's Gunsmithing see the URL above. He has dome many like this and several for folks on here. I highly recommend the Teflon finish for the barrel, lasts forever and looks great with the nickel
Tim, I have just recently sent an old TM 1 off for refubishing. I am having it done in the Teflon finish.
The two most trusted guys keep coming up the same: Giacomo and Doug Braker. I sent my gun to Doug Braker instead of Giacomo simply because Dan (the main man at Giacomo) was too busy to take my calls and never returned them. On the other hand, Doug Braker was easy to get to (by phone), very nice to talk to, and seemed to know his craft. In addition, his turn around time was 3 weeks, Giacomo was 8-10 weeks before they could even look at my gun.
I would have complete confidence with either one. For me it was a matter of the personal service I received from Doug Braker.
Doug's Gunsmith Shop 3929 8th St SW Backus, MN 56435 218-947-3600 http://dougsgunsmithshop.com/
Giacomo Sporting, Inc. 6234 Stokes Lee Center Rd. Lee Center, New York. 315 336-1356 Dan is the guy to talk to if you need specific info. http://www.giacomosporting.com/about.htm
You may want to consider hard chrome instead of nickel for your receiver. This was recommended to me by reliable sources in another TS Thread. Check the following site:
http://www.originalmetaloy.com/gallery.html
Hope this helps and good luck, Marc
I also want to add that Doug is a regular on here and often gives free advice on gun issues. In my opinion thats a sign of a good guy
Thank you to all who have provided me with information on refinishing my gun.
Thanks, Tim Barnes
up please
nice gun
I expected this exceptional gun would have sold by now. Comments have been favorable. Price seems to be agreeable to most that have commented. Reviews on the new TM-9 suggest it swings/sites/shoots a lot like the TM-1, but at over twice the price of this gun.
WHATS WRONG???
I know that I said no trades but if anyone has a NICE 32" MX-8 Trap model I would strongly consider the trade. I have two other TM-1s that I shoot. I want to keep this TM-1 as new and pristine as I can so I have not shot it. IT IS A BEAUTY!!
Thanks, Marc
Ed Y said it first (LOL). I agree, many people would prefer the 34" barrel. Some (not all) make a very strong case for the 32" barrel. This gun would be ideal for a man lookig for a gun that may be a little easier to heft and swing. What about the women or teens that are wanting to move up to a quality gun. There is certainly nothing lost in performance or how hard this gun will hit a target because of barrel length. If you closely examine the factory test pattern that comes with this gun (picture posted) you will see what I mean. People will spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars with custom barrel smiths in HOPE of achieving a pattern this good.
If anyone has any interest please let me know. Soon I will let this post expire and the gun goes back in the safe. It is really too nice a gun not to be enjoyed by someone. I have two other TM-1s that I do shoot.
Thanks,Marc
how much is this gun.... its a beautiful gun
wyatt
That gun seems very reasonably priced.
2 years ago I tried selling a high serial number TM-1 Special that was in excellent shape, barrel work done by Wilkinson who also put a new main spring in so that everything was in top shape. Priced it at $3k with case, original paperwork, etc. I wasted more time than I'd like to admit with people who wanted pics, wanted to buy but didn't have the money, or who said the gun wasn't worth more than $1,200 tops, on & on.
I then sold it to a fellow who dealt in Perazzi trap guns. He looked at it for about 4 minutes and offered me $2,800. My gun was in very nice / excellent shape, but not as pristine as this one.
Pete
Pete,
I tried to price this gun fairly. All that have commented seem to think so. Thanks for the kind words. Marc
