The M12 20 gauge hasa Moneymaker rib and a stock by Phil Simms. Started out as burl claro that looked like salmon eggs front to back....had the wood stabilized then Phil had at it.....ask him if he'd do it again.

This Miroku skeet has hammered many a pheasant....again stocked by Phil.

This is my work gun...stocked by Errol Case in Mo. about 12 years ago.

This is a custom LEFT HAND stock for an MX8 that I have for sale. Again by Phil Simms. $1800. pm or email me if interested.

Hi High, The engraving was done by Paolo Barbetti when he worked in Seattle in 1998. I worked with Nadine Ljutic to get the metal to Paulo before the gun was assembled so that he was able to work with bare metal and then he applied a nickle finish he had in inventory from when he worked for Browning. The gold is all inlayed. Serial# 3331

The gun is a one-of-a-kind and was done to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Shoshone Indian shooting group which now meets yearly in Pocatello. I did shoot 100 targets with the gun and then put it away. I do have an Americase for the gun with the Shoshone Anniversary embroidered inside the cover.

The gun is for sale.

Have you noticed that with the REALLY good wood, you can see into the grain to an extent that you should be able to see what's on the other side of the stock!

I've been saying "hey, my trap gun is a tool, that's it". Now even I know that's B.S.

No, it's oak....pin oak which is in the red oak family. I cut the tree from which this stock came from. People have been brainwashed into beliving that walnut is the only suitable wood for a stock. I think that I have proven that wrong. Here is a pic of my Silver Seitz that I just sold last week. This is spalted hard maple.

Ernie, That is one of the most interesting Spalted blanks I've seen. Believe it or not I have some spalted English walnut much like that I've not sold or put on the market as of yet. Waiting for some project or special gun to put them on.

Love the unusual woods. keep it up! Phil S.

Ithaca 4E SBT 1916 Flues restored. A real piece of Americana. A real joy to shoot. Patterned 70-30%. Special occasion gun - if there's such a thing. I would really like to have another one from the '70s so I could shoot it all the time. Restoration done by Les Hovencamp, Diamond Gunsmithing, Ithaca NY.

WGH; no the wood wasn't stabilized. This stuff is hard as a rock. Like most highly figured wood, we did have to fill in some small voids. The splated piece has nothing on or it it other than the finish.

Not really... It's not that bad. A lot of people talk about how bad they kick but in all reality it's pretty managable. Although, I have only shot 400 gr. bullets in it. I enjoy shooting it.

I built this little .22 for my son for his 9th birthday back in the early 1970's. It is built from used parts from 4 remington rifles I had laying around the shop. The wood was from a piece of walnut that was too short for an adult size gun. It is 36 inches end to end.

Here's my MX14 I have at Cabela's for them to sell. They want $11,000, but I'd sell it for $9,500. It's a 34" and 32".

You can see all of it on their site in the Gun Library section.

The Kornbrath engraving on the Baker and the videos of body painting posted by the flag gun guy are my favorites, although just a bit different. I also liked the first pin oak stock. I have plenty of pin oaks that I would cut if I thought that stock was in there somewhere.
