Jon, are you going to be able to get Lisa and Clay Baldwin to pick up their trapguns? I thought they gave up on shooting. Right now on my bench I have Bob Pierce, Jim Roland, Bob Aldridge, Jack Aldridge, Larry Kirk, Ray Natale and I'm working on Ray Emerson and Carliss Bowers. With myself thats not a bad team. I have a few other aces I'm not mentioning yet.

Jon, bring your guys out thur. nite to practice on some Oxford targets. I'd like to review your bench to see where we stand. I might have to call a few ringers in. Also, you could get lucky and get some more Dutch Way meat for your wifes menu. I'm not sure about your shooting but I know she can cook!!!

If you like we can throw some events from the 23yd line.

Well it was another good night for West Chester to visit Oxford. Rich, I'm not saying its like candy from a baby but... Thanks to Ken (one of the WCGC team) for coming down to check out the Oxford birds, I hope you got to shoot before the down pour. Hey Oxford shooters, only 2 squads! whats up with that. We have a new bragging rights trophy on the line here, Chester County's Most Popular Gun Club. WCGC is planning to treat you right with our after shoot party, so sign up and lets shoot and than have a great time at the after shoot party! Bring your nonshooting wives, girl friends and kids to the party too!

Jon, I had 3 goals last night: Treat my guests good, make sure they got some meat for the after shoot party, and the most important one "lull the enemy general into a false sense of security". You made it hard by dropping the first target out but I bit the bullet and made it happen (I even threw in missing the green bird as an over the top touch). Mission accomplished!!

Here I was spotting you a target and you were planning to hand it to me anyway. Well that is hospitality for ya!! I will admit being drawn from the hat twice was pure luck. I'm not sure of the false sense of security, that 48x50 I shot looks good anyway you cut it.

Rich..

I'll be there to shoot for the Oxford team if the weather is not going to be good for duck/goose hunting (Blue Bird Day).

However, the weather service has personally advised me that on the 27th, we're going to have snow and 25 + mph winds.

I haven't heard anything from Mr. Wolf today. He must be busy with the Turkey Shoot at WCGC. We had a nice day at Oxford with our Turkey Shoot. 80 shooters in the events and 40 on the practice. Rick Young and I had the only 50x50's today. I'm working hard on my shooting form so I will be ready on Black Friday.

Yes Rich, I had to run our turkey shoot yesterday. I do miss not being able to make the Oxford turkey shoot. (Last year I was 4 for 4) This time of year is my "turkey season". I was able to get out and shoot twice yesterday (46x50) and win one bird with a 24- and I know that a 22 will not cut the mustard on black Friday. So I will be taking some practice this week with you on Thursday. The "Chester County's Most Popular Gun Club" trophy will be on display for Oxford shooters to longingly gaze at on Thursday night. I would love to leave it there for you guys, but you will have to win it first- fat chance!!:) Jon

As of Tuesday 11/17- only 10 days left till the shoot out! We have over 1190 views from interested shooters on this thread. Rich and I have been gathering our teams for 3 weeks now and our rosters are now complete. The menu has been posted and food has been purchased. The Trophy has been made. Now would be a good time for you viewers to post your team preference. I am a member of both West Chester Gun Club and Oxford Gun Club, but WCGC is my home club, so there is only one team in my opinion that stands a chance! Here is my prediction- that West Chester Gun Club will hold the trophy for the next year as "Chester County's Most Popular Gun Club"- settled on the trap line. Better luck next year Oxford!! And I'll go so far as to predict that a West Chester Shooter will win top gun of both lewis classes. I will not say which one of us will, because guessing who will be drawn out of the hat is taking a chance! Jon Wolf Team Captain West Chester Gun Club

Attn All Oxford shooters- Please post personal messages to me with your name and number of non shooters who will be joining us for the party(non shooting adults $5/kids 14 under free). This event is growing quite large and my wife is starting to worry about having enough food. WCGC has firm prepaid commitments from 30 shooters and 15 wives/family coming. She has increase buffet size from 50 to 75 people. Rich has said he might have 5 squads, but with no idea really what numbers may be coming from Oxford, We are not sure if a 75 person buffet will be enough and I want to have enough food and a good time too boot. For food planning purposes, please forward your information. Jon

Gary, I will be glad to have you and I hope Ted makes it back in time to join us. GO OXFORD!!!

Curt, I don't mind the wind so much but I really hope it doesn't rain. Some of my best shooters think they will melt if they get wet!!(I bet they don't duck hunt)

Just send those sugar shooters, who'll melt in the rain, to the WCGC club house to sit out the competition but not the party. You bunch of softies a little rain -- hah!!

Oohh-- how trap shooting can vary. I got to post first! Sorry Rich posting while you are still working. Tonight was not a good night for WCGC to visit Oxford. Won 1 of 3 green bird events with green bird, no high scores but did take more sausage for buffet from Oxford. I did manage to eck out a 23 @ position 2 while "someone" @ position 3 "only" hit 22. I will also admit up front that someone locked my keys in my car but I was more concerned with shooting "on the line with position 3" than my keys!! Showed the "Chester County's Most Popular Gun Club" trophy to Oxford shooters tonight. Told them it would be the last time they would see it in their club house, to get real good look!! Better luck next year. I hope to see you all next Friday! WCGC shooter will be there rain or shine- we don't melt in the rain- Jon

Jon, I notice there is no mention of the 16x25 you had the first round!!! I'm not proud of the way I shot but my 45x50 was high for the night.(my prize came from a highgun not the greenbird) On top of that, I got soaked that last round. I'm not afraid of a little rain!!!
