Does anyone know if any hotels in the Sparts, IL area the have a vacancy for August 9 - 14. I would like to be within a 1/2 hour of Sparta if possible. I have checked with several with no luck so far.
Any help is appreciated.

I just got one in Du Quion about 26 mile from Spata at Motel 8. for the 10 and 11th. Wild Bill

Try O'Fallon, IL and Fairview Heights, IL. It is just slightly farther than you requested but they have hotels and restaurants a plenty.

Thanks for the assistance guys. I was able to reserve a room at the Fairgrounds Inn is Du Quoin, IL for $72.00 / night. It looks to be about 35 miles from the Sparta shooting complex. They said they had more rooms available if anyone else is looking for a room. Looks like a decent place from their web site. Thats all I know about the place.

And from personnal experience, do not stay at the Sparta Inn.

Actually there are (2) in Sparta which shooters should avoid.
The Sparta Motel

We stayed in O fallon. Cheap clean motel and lots of places to eat. not too far to drive to either.

Red bud is 17 miles away we found rooms at the Red Bud country inn they still have a few rooms

There is a very nice, almost new Hampton Inn in Columbia, IL. 39 miles from Sparta
