I don't know him personally, just shared a privet message or two. I have also come to the conclusion Mike Mann IS a true gentleman.
I personally hope to do business with him in the future.
Well, this is the second time I have seen Mike Mann come to the aid of someone selling a blank. I put up a marbled english crotch some months ago that had some sap in the pistol grip area and there was some comments about how much that lowered the value of the blank. I got a pm from Mike assuring me what I was asking for the blank was more that fair and a good deal for someone, and, that regardless what others said, many stocks are made with a little sap and it looks great.

I got this from Mike and I gave a 1/3 of asking price of this wood. I will also add I love the look of your wood. I think the number of people that want this type of wood is limited. People look at my wood and think it is great but I am not sure they would put it on a gun they own. Tom
I'll add my two cents. THE WOOD IS WORTH IT! if you like the wood you buy it. Some people! Your going to spend around $2000 or more on the labor and you can complain about $200 it's peanuts when the whole picture is looked at.
Tom it's a really nice stick and someone will be very happy. In my oppinion the stock will turn nicer than the block looks and even a bit nicer than the Ljutic pictured.

Of course only Mike can tell us what he would sell this for, but I don't think you will find one like this one for $500.
Myrtle is not common. Tiger Myrtle like this is more rare. The biggest problem with this type of wood is finding the right customer. Most shooters like dark wood. That's just a fact. While I like the Tiger Myrtle stocks, I'm in the minority.
Keep plugging away, it will sell. In this market it will just take time.

I'm not Mike Mann. A blank with less figure, less dark color or a blank thats not dry may be sold for $500.
Mike Mann would sell a blank like this for $450 to $500. FYI.
